Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Michael Jones!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Foolio rushes Jones and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Jones tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Foolio just stands there and leans against the cage.
Jones fails to pull guard.

Foolio jumps guard and drags Jones to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Foolio looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Jones passes into side control.
Foolio holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.

Jones looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Foolio is looking to regain half guard here but Jones keeps moving and retains side control.
Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Foolio keeps working.
You can see the frustration on Foolio's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Jones is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Foolio is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Jones just content to control the position.
Jones works to advance to full mount. Foolio defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Jones looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Jones putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jones throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jones is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent.
Foolio is squirming around, avoiding Jones's attempts to control the action.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Foolio takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Foolio keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Jones unloads with some shots from mount but Foolio bucks and avoids them well.

Jones quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Jones but it's paid off an Foolio is forced to tap! Nice work by Jones.
