The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dunc throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kinkaid was covering up waiting for the punch and Dunc finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Kinkaid had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dunc defends it easily.

Dunc drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dunc jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Dunc must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Kinkaid is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Dunc is aware though and is defending well.

Kinkaid has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dunc can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
