Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mon Lisondra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sao Marcos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lisondra comes into the arena with Down with the Sickness blaring out of the sound system. Sao Marcos will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lisondra checks a low kick from Marcos.

Marcos throws a series of punches but Lisondra avoids them all with ease.
Marcos dives in and grabs Lisondra's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lisondra pushes down on Marcos's head and hops out.
Lisondra fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Lisondra will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Marcos tries a head kick but it misses.
Marcos throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Marcos swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Lisondra counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Lisondra slips a jab and a cross from Marcos.

Lisondra misses with a takedown
letting Marcos counter with a right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mon Lisondra. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lisondra shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Lisondra seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Marcos is trying to stand back up but Lisondra is controlling him

and Lisondra counters with a shoot takedown. Marcos fights it but they end up in guard.
Lisondra slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Lisondra is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Lisondra is pushing down on Marcos's leg trying to pass to half guard. Marcos is fighting to maintain full guard but Lisondra has managed to sneak the leg through.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lisondra tries to stand and escape but Marcos is controlling the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lisondra moves nicely into side control.
Lisondra has hold of Marcos's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Marcos seems comfortable defending it but Lisondra has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Marcos is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Marcos is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Lisondra couldn't care less - he's delighted!
