Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tank Abott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jerry Nassoon!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abott doesn't manage to clinch there - Nassoon circles away.
Nassoon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Abott tries to avoid it but Nassoon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Abott to the ground. Abott escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Abott is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Abott moves in looking to clinch but Nassoon pushes him off.

Nassoon drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Abott gets the underhooks and prevents it.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Nassoon is on top in guard.

Nassoon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Abott swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jerry Nassoon was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Abott shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Nassoon but Nassoon pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Abott tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Nassoon manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Jerry Nassoon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Abott's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Abott pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Nassoon back to the cage. Abott follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Nassoon shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Abott sprawls well. Abott wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Nassoon gets slowly back to his feet.

A close third round but Jerry Nassoon just about did enough to take it.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nassoon can do anything to dispel that myth.
Abott throws a strike but Nassoon rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Nassoon decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Abott jumps guard but Nassoon stands there with Abott around his waist. Abott gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Abott tries to close the distance and clinch but Nassoon swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Nassoon looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Abott is fending him off so far but Nassoon persists. Nope, Abott circles away and we're back to standing.
