Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Henrik Sigurdsson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Buffy Seinfeld! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sigurdsson closes the distance and clinches. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Seinfeld avoiding damage as Sigurdsson throws knees to the body.
Seinfeld just leaning against Sigurdsson, taking a breather. Seinfeld is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Sigurdsson misses with a knee strike.
Sigurdsson misses with a knee to the head. Seinfeld dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Buffy Seinfeld. Sigurdsson gets a double leg takedown into Seinfeld's guard. Seinfeld being controlled here, momentarily. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Sigurdsson's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Sigurdsson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Seinfeld utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sigurdsson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Seinfeld keeping full guard, as Sigurdsson tries to pass. Seinfeld has momentary wrist control but Sigurdsson slips an elbow through the middle. Sigurdsson controls from within his opponent's guard. Sigurdsson postures up and lands a big shot to Seinfeld's brow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sigurdsson's corner is telling him to maintain position. Sigurdsson slips nicely into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sigurdsson is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Sigurdsson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Sigurdsson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Sigurdsson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Seinfeld blocking the ground and pound attempt from Sigurdsson. Nice strikes from Sigurdsson there. Sigurdsson is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Seinfeld looks winded! Seinfeld taking some punishment here, with Sigurdsson in his half guard. Sigurdsson slows the pace down in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sigurdsson is trying for a kimura here. Seinfeld looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Sigurdsson wins by kimura!
