The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cyothen scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Cyothen scores with a hook to the body. Ponce takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Cyothen misses with an uppercut.

Cyothen lands a left and a right that sends Ponce crashing to the canvas! Cyothen dives into mount looking to finish!

Ponce is rocked!

It looks like Jose Ponce has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cyothen trying to control but Ponce is having none of it.
Ponce is still in real trouble! Can Cyothen finish him?
Ponce is trying to stand.
Ponce seems to have recovered his senses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ponce bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Ponce wants to pass the guard but Cyothen is keeping the position.

Cyothen is trying to control the position but Ponce postures up.
Cyothen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Max Cyothen just wasn't active enough.
A left lands for Cyothen.
Cyothen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Ponce misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
and Cyothen counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Ponce! He's just covering up as Cyothen starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
