Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Amirhosein Bazgir!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perez looks for a takedown but Bazgir sprawls well.
Perez looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Bazgir shoots in looking for a takedown but Perez manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bazgir's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Horrible takedown by Bazgir or perhaps it was just good defense by Perez which made him look bad.
Perez shoots in looking for a takedown. Bazgir tries to sprawl out of it but Perez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bazgir manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Amirhosein Bazgir wasn't active enough on the ground.

Perez shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bazgir napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Bazgir is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Perez winds up and cracks Bazgir with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Perez wants to control from the top but Bazgir keeps moving.

Perez tries to close the distance and clinch but Bazgir swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Perez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bazgir on the ground.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bazgir has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Perez is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Bazgir.

Perez stuffs the takedown.
Bazgir tries to score a power double leg takedown but Perez sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bazgir somewhat.
No joy there for Perez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Perez shoots in and bounces Bazgir off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Bazgir lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Perez!

Bazgir jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Perez manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Bazgir wants to control but Perez is keeping him busy.
Bazgir tries to advance to mount but Perez denies him.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Bazgir tries to score with some ground and pound. Perez controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

and Perez counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Perez bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Amirhosein Bazgir comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bazgir has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
