PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jake Corrigan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Morgan Freeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jake Corrigan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Morgan Freeman!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, John Mangel and Winston Howard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freeman swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Corrigan avoids the body shot from Freeman.
Freeman keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

It looks like Jake Corrigan has been cut.
Freeman lands a slapping body shot.
Corrigan blocks a jab.
Freeman looks to land a left hand but Corrigan moved out of range nicely.
Freeman looks to throw the jab but Corrigan is out of range.
Corrigan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Corrigan.
Freeman swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Freeman lands a really nice looking cross but Corrigan seems unphased.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Freeman throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Corrigan on the side of the head.
Freeman thuds his right hand into Corrigan's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Freeman stuffs the takedown attempt from Corrigan. Corrigan gets slowly back to his feet.
Corrigan closes the distance and clinches up with Freeman, looking for a takedown. Corrigan pushes Freeman against the cage but Freeman circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Corrigan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Freeman jabs Corrigan to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Corrigan is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Freeman circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Corrigan to the canvas! Corrigan doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Freeman keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
