Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Terry Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Layfon Alseif (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Layfon Alseif!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Eliza Hachem and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns pushes Alseif up against the cage in a clinch.
Alseif misses with a body punch.
Burns gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Burns trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Alseif really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Burns. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Burns showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Terry Burns.
Burns fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Alseif to the ground. Burns is now in Alseif's guard.
Alseif can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Burns controls the pace.

Burns seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Alseif for as long as he can get away with.
Burns could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Terry Burns just wasn't active enough.
Jab, jab by Alseif - just one landing.
Alseif misses with a double jab.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Burns.
Alseif lands an overhand right.
Burns gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Burns will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A left and a right from Alseif both land. Nice combination.
Alseif looks to land a combination but Burns avoids it well.
Burns gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Burns drops down looking for an ankle pick but Alseif pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Terry Burns. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Alseif throws a right hand that Burns ducks under and follows up with a left that Burns also avoids with ease.
Burns closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Alseif did well to prevent Burns getting side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Burns has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Terry Burns wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Alseif lands a right hook to the body.
Alseif lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Burns circles away quickly and effectively.
Alseif lands a two punch combo.
Burns shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Alseif is trying to defend but Burns finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Burns throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Burns moves into full mount! Alseif won't be happy about that!
Burns tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Terry Burns dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Burns shoots for a takedown but Alseif saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Burns here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Alseif throws a right hand that Burns ducks under and follows up with a left that Burns also avoids with ease.
Burns looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Still in half guard, Burns seems content to control.
Alseif on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Burns works his way into full mount!

Alseif is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Burns locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Alseif is forced to tap!
