Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jay Guily (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Valentino Rosso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Valentino Rosso will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jay Guily!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Valentino Rosso!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Glass and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guily circles away from the clinch attempt.
Guily misses with a wild combination.
Rosso shoots in for a takedown but Guily shows good takedown defense.
Guily displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

Rosso drives through with a takedown into guard.
Rosso is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Guily wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Rosso trying to control but Guily is working from the bottom.
Guily wants to stand and escape but Rosso is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Guily pulls Rosso in close to his closed guard and prevents Rosso from doing any damage or advancing position.

Guily looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rosso is one step ahead there.
Guily is working hard here to advance position.
Guily might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Rosso forces his way into half guard.
Rosso trying to control the pace.
Guily is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Guily is trying to stand back up but Rosso is controlling him
Rosso slows the pace down in half guard.
Guily is staying active underneath Rosso, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Rosso content to control rather than advance.
Rosso moves into full mount! Guily won't be happy about that!
Guily is looking to improve his position but Rosso isn't that keen on the idea.
Guily is breathing heavily.

Guily is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Rosso looking to control but Guily is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Despite being in the dominant position, Valentino Rosso just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Guily avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

and Rosso counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Guily misses with the combination.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Rosso. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Rosso misses with a head kick.
Rosso throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Guily's waist but Guily gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rosso off to one side.
Guily throws the left hand but Rosso avoids the punch easily.
Guily shoots in and drives through. Rosso sprawls well.
Rosso keeps the fight on the outside.
Guily throws a sloppy head kick and Rosso moves out of range easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Guily throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rosso's waist but Rosso gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Guily off to one side.
Guily is looking to clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Guily throws a right hand that Rosso ducks under and follows up with a left that Rosso also avoids with ease.

Guily looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Rosso is trying is best to control the position here.

Guily tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Rosso.
Rosso moves into full guard.
Guily has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Rosso seems keen to control Guily's posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Let's hope that Rosso has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Guily postures up in Rosso's guard and throws a big left but Rosso blocks it.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rosso is on top in guard.

Rosso is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Rosso fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Guily sprawls well initially but Rosso persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Guily has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rosso is working away from the top position though.
Valentino Rosso has got the better of the ground game so far.
Rosso controlling the action here.
Rosso wants to pass the guard but Guily is defending well.

Valentino Rosso showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Rosso throws an elbow but it misses.

Rosso escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rosso avoids the head kick by Guily.
Guily keeps the fight on the outside.
Rosso moves out of range of the body kick.
Rosso blocks a head kick by Guily.
Rosso closes the distance and clinches up with Guily, looking for a takedown. Rosso pushes Guily against the cage but Guily circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Guily tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rosso swivels and escapes.

Guily can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rosso controls the pace.

Guily keeping moving, preventing Rosso from controlling successfully.
Guily pulls Rosso in close to prevent any damage.
Guily is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Guily trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Rosso counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Guily lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Guily.
Guily throws a shot from downtown. Rosso moves away and avoids it.
Rosso misses with a series of wild punches.
Guily throws a big shot that misses.
Guily looks for a takedown but Rosso sprawls well.

I've got Rosso winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
