Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Schmidt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tor Abet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abet moves into range and connects with a jab.
Abet stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Abet looks to land a combination but Schmidt avoids it well.
Schmidt tries to close the distance and clinch but Abet swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Schmidt shoots in looking for a takedown. Abet tries to sprawl out of it but Schmidt keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Abet manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Abet scores with a nice right hand.
Abet misses with an uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Schmidt tries to clinch up.
Abet tests Schmidt's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Abet waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Schmidt.

Abet is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Abet throws an overhand right that lands on Schmidt's shoulder, as Schmidt tries to avoid the shot.
Abet jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Schmidt tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Abet thows a left - swing and a miss!
Abet clobbers Schmidt with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Schmidt gets a clinch.
With the fighters up against the cage, Schmidt throws an elbow but misses.
Schmidt has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Abet after a bit of a struggle.
Abet has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Schmidt has Abet pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Abet manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyler Schmidt. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Schmidt jumps guard but Abet turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Schmidt's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Abet scores with a decent looking hook.
Schmidt takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Schmidt is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Abet ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Abet is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Schmidt had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Schmidt could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Abet cracks a nice hook into Schmidt's ribs.
Abet lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Schmidt falls backwards - clearly groggy! Abet dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
