Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jonny Utah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quitter Life (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jonny Utah has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jonny Utah!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Quitter Life!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Utah takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Life throws a hook to the side of Utah's head but Utah sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Life misses with a low kick as Utah jumps back.
Utah swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Life.
Life misses with a head kick.
Life throws a head kick that misses.

Utah feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Utah works over Life with some ground and pound from guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Life being controlled here, momentarily.
Utah stands up over Life, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Life can do anything to dispel that myth.
Utah working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Utah postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Utah forces his way into half guard.
Utah sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Utah sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Life defending well though.
Utah lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Utah has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Utah lands strikes from half guard.
Life really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Utah. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Utah is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Utah trying to control the pace.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Utah connects with a nice short shot to Life's temple.
Well, if Utah is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Utah working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Utah throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Utah slips a nice elbow through Life's hands, connecting with Life's forehead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Utah prevents Life from improving his position.
Utah scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Utah thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Life's head.
Utah looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Life with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Utah not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Life is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Utah scores with a couple of nice shots.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Utah connects with a nice short shot to Life's temple.


Life is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Utah sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Life defending well though.
Utah working over Life with some ground and pound. Life looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Utah seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Life is still in real trouble! Can Utah finish him?

Utah is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Life is hurt! He's hurt bad - Utah fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Life from any more punishment! Congratulations to Utah! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jonny Utah!
