Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roberto Kotetsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyler Thomas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roberto Kotetsu! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thomas looks to score with a jab to the body but Kotetsu is just out of range. Thomas shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kotetsu as he jumps to the side. Thomas looks for a takedown but Kotetsu sprawls well. Kotetsu shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Kotetsu stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kotetsu wants it to stay on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyler Thomas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kotetsu lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Thomas shoots for a takedown but Kotetsu saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Kotetsu has closed the distance and engaged Thomas in a clinch.
Thomas is trying to drag Kotetsu to the mat but Kotetsu just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Kotetsu goes for a takedown attempt but Thomas pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Thomas tries to clinch but Kotetsu moves away and Kotetsu counters with a straight right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kotetsu shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Thomas defends it nicely. Kotetsu circles away from the clinch attempt and Kotetsu counters with a one-two to the body. Kotetsu works Thomas's body with a nice hook. Kotetsu shoots in looking for a takedown but Thomas manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kotetsu's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Thomas displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kotetsu. Kotetsu fails with a takedown attempt. A left lands for Kotetsu.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Thomas dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Thomas stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Thomas wants it to stay on the feet. Thomas showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kotetsu.

Thomas shoots in looking for a takedown but Kotetsu manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Thomas's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Kotetsu moves into range and clinches up with Thomas. Thomas can't get the takedown.

Kotetsu is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kotetsu scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Kotetsu throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Thomas wants to clinch but Kotetsu slips to the side and Kotetsu counters with a right hand to the body. Kotetsu shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Thomas shoots in but no luck this time. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kotetsu fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Thomas misses with a hook. Kotetsu ducked under it nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Roberto Kotetsu dominated that round. That's time! Thomas's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Kotetsu pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Thomas back to the cage. Kotetsu follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Kotetsu showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Thomas.
Kotetsu clobbers Thomas with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Kotetsu misses with a leg kick. Kotetsu swats away the attempt to clinch by Thomas. Kotetsu throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Kotetsu avoids a punch combination nicely.
Horrible takedown by Kotetsu or perhaps it was just good defense by Thomas which made him look bad.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thomas tries to clinch but Kotetsu moves out of range. Thomas shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kotetsu sprawls well. Kotetsu wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Thomas gets slowly back to his feet. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kotetsu. Roberto Kotetsu seems to be getting the better of the standup. Sloppy strikes from Thomas. Those never looked like landing. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kotetsu tries for a takedown but Thomas sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Thomas misses with a low kick. Kotetsu avoids the head kick by Thomas.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kotetsu shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Thomas defends it nicely. Tyler Thomas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roberto Kotetsu. Kotetsu throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Thomas slaps away a takedown attempt from Kotetsu, before circling back to the center of the mat. Kotetsu moves into the clinch. Thomas has had enough of the clinch but Kotetsu keeps him there for the moment. A frustrated look appears on Thomas's face as he tries to break the clinch. Kotetsu looking for a takedown. Kotetsu is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Thomas is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kotetsu tries to score a body lock takedown but Thomas shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Thomas wants to take the fight to the mat but Kotetsu manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Thomas is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Kotetsu is defending well for now. Kotetsu manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Thomas works a leg free and moves into half guard. Thomas not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Kotetsu is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Thomas pulls his head out easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Thomas trying to control from half guard but Kotetsu is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kotetsu is in trouble now - Thomas has advanced to mount! Thomas throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Kotetsu bucks Thomas off and manages to get back to his feet! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Thomas is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kotetsu sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Kotetsu jabs Thomas to the body, keeping him at a distance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Roberto Kotetsu will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Kotetsu closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Kotetsu tries for a takedown but Thomas manages to get underhooks.
Thomas is looking to control Kotetsu's arms but Kotetsu gets an underhook and turns him. Now Thomas has his back to the cage. Thomas gets underhooks to prevent Kotetsu's takedown attempt.
Kotetsu wants to take the fight to the mat but Thomas manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Thomas wants to stall.

Thomas gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Kotetsu.

Thomas tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kotetsu just stands there and leans against the cage. Kotetsu is looking for a takedown. Thomas has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kotetsu is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Thomas is defending well against a takedown attempt. Thomas is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Kotetsu is keeping busy. Thomas has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Kotetsu tries for a takedown. No joy.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Roberto Kotetsu. Well Kotetsu has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
