The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooper will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Cooper drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Opperman keeping moving, preventing Cooper from controlling successfully.
Cooper would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Cooper passes into half guard.
Cooper is thwarting Opperman's attempts to control the position.
Opperman is trying to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cooper thows a huge punch but Opperman dodges it nicely.
Cooper has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Opperman is looking for a sweep. Cooper is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Opperman throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
The referee asks Cooper politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Cooper prefers to stall for the moment though.
Opperman tries to buck Cooper off but Cooper is having none of it.

Cooper is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Opperman looks calm but he's in trouble here. Cooper gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Opperman is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Cooper lets go of the hold and Opperman can pop his arm back in it's socket.
