Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ieuan Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Will (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Sam Margolis and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Will lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Thomas circles away quickly and effectively.
Will scores with a head kick. Thomas tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

It looks like Ieuan Thomas has been cut.

Thomas manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Will on his heels. He'll look to pass Will's guard now, I'm sure.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Will is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Thomas is aware though and is defending well.

Thomas will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Thomas is nestled in close to Will, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Thomas throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Thomas changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Will fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Thomas shoots in and drives through. Will sprawls well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

and Will counters with a head kick. That will keep Thomas thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Thomas connects with a nice short shot to Will's temple.

Thomas is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Will can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Thomas, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
