Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Betts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Little (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aaron Betts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roy Little!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Little throws a series of punches but Betts moves out of range.

Little darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Betts trying to control from the bottom.
Betts wants to get back to full guard.
Betts wants to control but Little is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Betts moves into full guard.
Betts is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Little decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Little throws a head kick that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Little tries to score a power double leg takedown but Betts sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Little somewhat.
Little looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
No joy there for Little, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Betts shoots in but Little avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Little scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Little blocks the strikes from Betts.

Betts manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Betts connects with the punch.
Betts tries to close the distance and clinch but Little swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Betts trying to control the position but instead, Little has worked for underhooks and has pushed Betts into the cage.
Little is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Little pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Little.
Aaron Betts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roy Little.
Betts shoots in but Little avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Betts shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Little defends it nicely.

Little has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Betts.
Betts tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Betts moves into range and clinches up with Little.
Betts blocks the elbow strike.

Betts breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Little makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Little lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Little is thwarting Betts's attempts to control the position.
Betts tries to get to full guard but Little has control of the leg.

Betts keeping moving, preventing Little from controlling successfully.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Nice sprawl there from Betts as Little shoots in.
Betts scores with a shot to the body.
Betts blocks a head kick by Little.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Betts.
Betts is trying hard to land a takedown here. Little sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Little pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Betts fails in his attempt to clinch.
Little shoots in and drives through. Betts sprawls well.

Betts tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Betts is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Roy Little will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Little explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Betts swats away the attempt to clinch by Little.
No luck for Little with that takedown attempt.
Betts closes the distance and clinches up with Little, looking for a takedown. Betts pushes Little against the cage but Little circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Betts shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Little pinned against the cage. Little gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Little rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Betts moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Betts fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aaron Betts. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Little throws a left and a right that both miss
and Betts counters with a straight right hand.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Little shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Betts's guard.
Little tries to stand but Betts is controlling from the bottom.
Little trying to control but Betts is working from the bottom.
Little throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Little avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Roy Little was stalling too much, according to the referee.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Betts has his feet on Little's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Nice takedown defense from Betts. No joy for Little on that attempt.
Little shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Betts as he avoids it easily.
The fighters circling - Little throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Little can't find room to land a body shot as Betts controls the action.

Betts escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Betts will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Betts defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Little.

Little rushes Betts and presses him up against the cage.
Little jumps guard but Betts stands there with Little around his waist. Little gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Betts jumps into guard, dragging Little to the mat.
Little is looking to pass into half guard but Betts pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Betts is in guard.
Little not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Little is looking to sweep but instead, Betts has passed into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Little works his way to full guard. Good work.

Roy Little comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Little has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
