Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Billy Sullivan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Arroyo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sullivan might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Dropkick Murphys - I'm Shipping Up To Boston. Billy Sullivan has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arroyo fails with the takedown
and Sullivan counters with a series of strikes. Arroyo will be more careful next time no doubt.

Sullivan is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Arroyo knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Arroyo's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Sullivan connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Arroyo scrambles back to his feet.

Sullivan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Arroyo's guard.
Sullivan is fighting to break Arroyo's control of his arms but Arroyo is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Arroyo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Arroyo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Sullivan pushes Arroyo away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Arroyo gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Arroyo shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sullivan napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee asks Arroyo politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Arroyo prefers to stall for the moment though.
Sullivan is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Arroyo asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Arroyo stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Arroyo is looking to sinch up a triangle. Sullivan throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Arroyo's body to avoid the submission. Arroyo has instead reached around Sullivan's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Arroyo arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
