Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Randjob Jiu Jitsu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ronaho Sooza!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Edson Gomes and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sooza gets a takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Jiu Jitsu is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Sooza pulls his head out easily.

Jiu Jitsu looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Sooza is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Sooza wants to free his trapped foot but Jiu Jitsu is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Sooza looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Sooza is working for a submission of some sort.

Sooza is trying to control. Jiu Jitsu wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Sooza is thwarting Jiu Jitsu's attempts to control the position.

Sooza seems to be looking for submissions.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Jiu Jitsu looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Sooza is looking for a kimura but Jiu Jitsu is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sooza to get the leverage.
Sooza is just content to waste time from the top position. Jiu Jitsu takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Sooza tries to free his leg and advance position but Jiu Jitsu is retaining full guard.

Jiu Jitsu is looking for a triangle but Sooza pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Sooza got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jiu Jitsu has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sooza has managed to get both his arms back between Jiu Jitsu's legs - danger averted.
Sooza tries to free his leg and advance position but Jiu Jitsu is retaining full guard.

Jiu Jitsu is looking for a triangle but Sooza pushes his legs off easily.
Sooza trying to control but Jiu Jitsu is working from the bottom.

Jiu Jitsu escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sooza gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Jiu Jitsu has his foot on Sooza's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sooza works his way back into a safe position though.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Jiu Jitsu looking for subs off his back but Sooza has passed one foot through into half guard.

Jiu Jitsu actively working from the bottom here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jiu Jitsu wants to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Randjob Jiu Jitsu dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Sooza shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jiu Jitsu napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Jiu Jitsu can't do much from the bottom here.
Sooza tries to move to mount but Jiu Jitsu blocks the move with his legs.
Jiu Jitsu tries to bench press Sooza off him but Sooza keeps the position.
Jiu Jitsu wants to control but Sooza postures up.

Sooza is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jiu Jitsu has escaped the position, nice work there.

Jiu Jitsu sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Sooza is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jiu Jitsu doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Sooza.

Jiu Jitsu looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Sooza pushes past his half guard into mount!

Jiu Jitsu sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Sooza is looking for a kimura here.
Sooza is breathing heavily.

Sooza seems to be working for a kimura but Jiu Jitsu defends the submission attempt.

Jiu Jitsu wants to control but Sooza is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Sooza is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Jiu Jitsu moves into full guard.
Sooza trying to control the position from guard on top but Jiu Jitsu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sooza must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Jiu Jitsu is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Jiu Jitsu working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sooza doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Jiu Jitsu is tightening it up a little... Sooza has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Sooza reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Sooza taps out! Nice BJJ there by Jiu Jitsu!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Randjob Jiu Jitsu!
Randjob Jiu Jitsu spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
