Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Killer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jimmy Joe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joe Killer!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joe shoots for a takedown but Killer saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Killer connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Killer misses with a takedown attempt
and Joe counters with a left and a right that stings Killer.
Joe displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Killer.
Joe slaps away a takedown attempt from Killer, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Jimmy Joe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Killer.

Joe moves into the clinch.
Joe stops a takedown attempt from Killer.

Joe pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Joe dodges the punch combination from Killer.
Joe keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Joe fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Killer sprawls well initially but Joe persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Joe wants to free his trapped foot but Killer is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Joe slows the pace down in half guard.
Joe will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Joe is looking to advance position but Killer won't allow it.
Joe wants to stand up but Killer has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Joe with the ground and pound but Killer uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Joe passes Killer's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Joe missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Joe content to control rather than advance.
Killer is refusing to be controlled, as Joe sits in half guard.

Joe is trying to work for a kimura but Killer is defending well.
Joe really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Joe wants to control but Killer is keeping him busy.

Joe escapes and gets back to his feet.
A punch combination from Killer misses.

Killer tries to keep at a distance but Joe has taken the fight into the clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Joe.

Killer on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Joe pulls guard.
Killer passes Joe's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Killer performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Joe tries to get to full guard but Killer has control of the leg.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Joe has his hands clasped together around Killer's back. He's all about the action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Joe tries to sprawl but Killer drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Killer missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Joe tries to kick Killer off in order to stand up. Killer Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Joe is looking to regain half guard here but Killer keeps moving and retains side control.
Joe misses with a strike from the bottom.
An elbow from Killer crashes against the mat.
You can see the frustration on Joe's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Joe is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Killer decides to stand up, so the ref orders Joe to his feet.
Joe looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Killer is fending him off so far but Joe persists. Nope, Killer circles away and we're back to standing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Joe throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Joe wants to clinch but Killer slips to the side

and Killer counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Killer wants to stand but Joe has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Killer won't allow Joe to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Killer showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

Joe trying to keep a closed guard but Killer is proving a slippery customer.

We're going to have a standup here because Jimmy Joe wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Killer looks to land a body kick but Joe moved away.
Killer throws a sloppy head kick and Joe moves out of range easily.

Joe gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Killer tries to break free but Joe pushes him back against the cage.
Killer drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Joe gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Killer is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Joe gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Joe escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Joe lands with a shot to the body.
Joe dodges the punch combination from Killer.
Killer avoids the head kick by Joe.
Joe connects with a body shot.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Killer tries to keep at a distance but Joe has taken the fight into the clinch.

Joe turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Joe manages to end up in side control.

Joe tries for a kimura but Killer is defending well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Joe thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Killer is trying to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Joe Killer will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


The fight stays on the outside here - Joe looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Joe fails to land the takedown.

Joe drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Joe postures up in Killer's guard and throws a big left but Killer blocks it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Joe tries to clinch there but Killer circles away.
Joe wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Killer.

and Joe counters with a stiff right hand.

Joe lands with an overhand left.

Joe shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Joe has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Joe has isolated one of Killer's arms. Killer looking to fight him off but Joe twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
