Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sir Byakuya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hardy has chosen Ambitionz Az A Ridah as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andre Hardy!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Leandro Rodrigues and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Byakuya fails with the takedown
and Hardy connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hardy throws a nice looking combination but Byakuya bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

enabling Hardy to counter with a crisp jab.
Byakuya tries for a takedown but Hardy circles away easily
and Hardy counters with a stiff right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sir Byakuya. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A punch lands to the side of Byakuya 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Byakuya takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Byakuya is trying to escape the position but Hardy is controlling the position.
Hardy's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Byakuya gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

The ref stands the fighters back up. Andre Hardy was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Byakuya takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

and Hardy counters with a nice uppercut.
Hardy closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Hardy takes a little break here. Byakuya wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Hardy creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
A lull in the action here.
Byakuya tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Hardy fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and Hardy counters with a nice uppercut.
A head kick misses from Byakuya.
Hardy throws a series of punches but Byakuya moves out of range.
A clash of legs there as Hardy blocks the low kick.

and Hardy counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Sir Byakuya seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Byakuya is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Hardy.
Byakuya shoots and misses
and Byakuya takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sir Byakuya. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hardy shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Byakuya's guard.
Hardy seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Andre Hardy has got the better of the ground game so far.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Hardy forces his way into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

It looks like Sir Byakuya has been cut.
Hardy lands a nice hook to Byakuya's body. Byakuya takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Byakuya dodges the punch combination from Hardy.
Byakuya misses with a takedown attempt
and Hardy counters with a one-two to the body.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Byakuya. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Hardy scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Oooooh!!! Hardy has knocked Byakuya down with a huge combo! Hardy steps away and waves a wobbly Byakuya back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Byakuya is rocked!

Hardy cracks Byakuya's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Byakuya slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Hardy can do further damage! This one is done, son!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Andre Hardy!
Andre Hardy opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
