Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roman Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Finney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peter Finney is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Roman Davis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Peter Finney! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Donald Grub and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davis fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Davis closes this distance looking for a takedown but Finney circles away. Davis fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roman Davis. That's going to take a lot out of him. Davis looks for a takedown but Finney sprawls well. Finney slips a jab and a cross from Davis.
Davis changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Finney tries to avoid it but Davis manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Finney to the ground. Finney escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Davis shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Finney's guard. Davis trying to control but Finney is working from the bottom. Davis is really struggling to control Finney but he's trying to hold on to the position. Finney keeping full guard, as Davis tries to pass.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis pushing down on Finney's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Finney looks like he's trying to stand up.
Davis throwing shots but Finney is blocking nicely. Davis looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Finney gets full guard. Davis preventing the sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Davis not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Davis won't allow Finney to get back to his feet. Davis drops back looking for a leg! Finney is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Finney manages to kick Davis off! Davis jumps back into Finney's guard. Davis is breathing heavily. Davis wants to pass the guard but Finney is keeping the position. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Finney keeping moving, preventing Davis from controlling successfully. Davis is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Finney wants to get back to his feet but Davis is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Davis will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Davis misses with a takedown attempt - Finney sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Davis shoots in for a double leg but Finney sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Davis drops his hands momentarily and Finney takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Davis tries for a takedown but Finney sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Finney swinging wilding here.
Davis dodges the punch combination from Finney.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Finney scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Roman Davis has been cut. Davis misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Finney fails with the takedown. Davis waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Finney. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Davis fails to land the takedown. Davis throws a combination that misses and Finney counters with a series of strikes. Davis will be more careful next time no doubt. Finney gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Peter Finney will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Roman Davis's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Davis gets a takedown into half guard. Davis is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Finney! Davis looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Davis has hold of Finney's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Finney manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Finney is squirming around, avoiding Davis's attempts to control the action. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Finney really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Finney really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Davis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Davis with the ground and pound from mount. Davis working away from the top, dropping strikes. Davis with good strikes from the mount here! Davis working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Davis working for a submission but Finney is keeping him at bay. Davis looking to finish Finney with some ground and pound. This is bad for Finney!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Finney is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Davis locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Finney is forced to tap!
