The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pearson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Warship sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pearson somewhat.
Pearson shoots in but Warship avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Pearson shoots in for a double leg but Warship sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Fredrick Warship has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Pearson.
Pearson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Warship.
Warship keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pearson is thwarting Warship's attempts to control the position.
Warship manages to get to full guard.

Pearson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Warship works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Pearson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Warship. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Pearson throws an elbow that misses. Warship uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Pearson's guard. Nice move by Warship!
Warship is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Pearson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Pearson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Pearson throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Pearson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Warship gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pearson wants to sweep but no luck.

Pearson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Warship looking for submissions off his back.
Pearson wants to take a breather but Warship is having none of it.

Pearson is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Warship trying to control but Pearson postures up.
Pearson looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Pearson connects with a nice short shot to Warship's temple.

Warship is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Warship is breathing heavily.
Pearson landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Warship on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Pearson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Pearson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Warship is rocked!
Warship wants to improve his position but Pearson is controlling well.
Oh Warship is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pearson working over Warship with some ground and pound. Warship looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Pearson lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Warship quite badly. Warship pulls Pearson in close trying to recover. Pearson postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Warship on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Warship doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dan Pearson!
