The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Woodcock gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Vernon to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Vernon gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Woodcock tries to close the distance and clinch but Vernon swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Woodcock had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Vernon defends it easily.
Vernon sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Woodcock's guard.

Vernon pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Vernon shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Woodcock pinned against the cage. Woodcock gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

I would just about give that final round to Walther Vernon.
