Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alejandro Martinez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Von Erich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Von Erich has chosen I always feel like somebody is watching me as his entrance music. Kevin Von Erich will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Von Erich tries to get to full guard but Martinez has control of the leg.
Martinez looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Martinez is working for a kimura but Von Erich is defending it quite comfortably.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Von Erich is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
No joy there for Von Erich, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Martinez goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Von Erich is on top in guard.
Von Erich avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Martinez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Von Erich can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
