The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones takes the fight into the clinch.
Jones prevents a takedown attempt there.
Smith is trying to pull guard but Jones turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Jones gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Smith.
Jon Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Smith.
Jones has picked Smith up - he's going for a ride! Jones dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Smith tries to get to full guard but Jones has control of the leg.
Jones seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Smith does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Jones can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Smith is looking to escape.
Smith is desperately trying to improve his position but Jones has a good base and remains in mount.

Jones lands a couple of good shots and Smith has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
A bit of a pause in the action here. Jones controlling the positon.
Smith is trying to break free.
Smith trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.

Smith prevents Jones from getting a body triangle.
Jones is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Smith is defending well though. Jones let's go of the attempt for now.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Smith is in bad spot here.
Smith looking very determined here, making life difficult for Jones.
Jones has good solid back control here.
Jones is not going to allow Smith to sit and survive in this position.

You can see the frustration on Smith's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Smith defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Jones's arms.
Jones is looking for the choke from the back position but Smith is controlling his hands well.

Jones has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Smith is defending well but eventually Jones manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Smith has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
