Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between The Hammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Arona (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, The Hammer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ricardo Arona!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammer is looking to land body kicks.
Arona has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Hammer finds it's way round the side to connect with Arona's head.
Some bone on bone action there as Arona checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Arona dives in and scores a takedown into Hammer's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Arona wants to pass the guard but Hammer is keeping the position.
Hammer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Arona on the ground.
Arona trying to control the position from guard on top but Hammer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hammer can't keep his opponent in guard - Arona advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Arona thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hammer's head.
Hammer avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Arona.

Arona throwing shots but Hammer is blocking nicely.
Arona is pressing down on Hammer's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hammer is holding on for now.
Arona working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Hammer is looking to improve his position.
Arona stops Hammer from getting back to his feet.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Arona in particular looking to stall.
Arona is looking to advance position but Hammer won't allow it.

Hammer blocking the ground and pound attempt from Arona.
Hammer wants to control but Arona is keeping busy.
Arona is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Hammer as he works his way to full guard.
Hammer avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Hammer wants to stand but Arona is controlling the position.

Arona missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Arona with a flurry of punches that miss.
Arona is fighting to break Hammer's control of his arms but Hammer is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Hammer is looking to stand up but Arona isn't so interested in that idea.
Hammer tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Arona is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Arona has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Hammer smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Arona fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hammer to the ground. Arona is now in Hammer's guard.
Hammer wants to sweep but no luck.
Arona controlling from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hammer is pulling down on Arona's head to control his posture.
Hammer is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up. The Hammer wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Arona has a takedown stuffed.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ricardo Arona dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Arona with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hammer to score with a decent uppercut.
Arona shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hammer manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Hammer has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Arona off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Hammer stuffs the takedown.
Arona shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hammer sprawls well. Hammer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Arona gets slowly back to his feet.
Hammer stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hammer wants it to stay on the feet.
The Hammer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ricardo Arona.
Arona tries to clinch up but Hammer circles away and keeps his distance.
Arona tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hammer paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Hammer lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Arona is rocked!
Ricardo Arona is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hammer with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Arona is still on wobbly legs! Can Hammer finish him?
Arona is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Crunch! Hammer slams his shin into Arona's torso.
Hammer cracks Arona with a left hook right on the temple and Arona goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Hammer lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Arona is OK!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). The Hammer!
