Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Laurence Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexis Papadopoulos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Papadopoulos is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Metalngus. Smith checks the leg kick.
Smith lands a right hook to the body.
No joy there for Smith, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Smith throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Papadopoulos throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Papadopoulos takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Smith displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Papadopoulos.
Smith fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Smith throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Papadopoulos.
Papadopoulos is looking to clinch.
Alexis Papadopoulos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Papadopoulos takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Smith scores with a crisp jab that stopped Papadopoulos in his tracks.
Papadopoulos dives in and grabs Smith's left leg, looking for a takedown. Smith pushes down on Papadopoulos's head and hops out.

Papadopoulos tries to clinch but Smith is having none of it.
Horrible takedown by Papadopoulos or perhaps it was just good defense by Smith which made him look bad.
Laurence Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexis Papadopoulos.
Papadopoulos tries to move into range but Smith moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Smith punishes Papadopoulos's body with a nice straight punch.

Smith lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Smith stuns Papadopoulos with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Papadopoulos seems to have recovered his senses.

Smith slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Papadopoulos takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Papadopoulos takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Smith lands a body shot.
Smith drops Papadopoulos with a huge uppercut! Papadopoulos drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Smith is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
