Dos Santos comes to the cage accompanied by Funkist-Snow Fairy. Joao Dos Santos has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dos Santos bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Dos Santos could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Dos Santos is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Cole lands a nice looking body shot.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Cole wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cole can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Joao Dos Santos just wasn't active enough.

Cole seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Dos Santos pushes Cole off and scrambles back to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cole scores with a head kick.
Dos Santos tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cole paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Cole feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Dos Santoss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Cole throws a nice looking combination but Dos Santos bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Dos Santos shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cole pinned against the cage. Cole gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Cole throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Dos Santos counters with a head kick. That will keep Cole thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Cole ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dos Santos moves away.
Dos Santos tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cole swivels and escapes.
A nice combination there by Cole.

and Cole counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Dos Santos! He's just covering up as Cole starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
