Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Kendrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Axl Dokken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Axl Dokken acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kendrick gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Kendrick closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Dokken's guard.

Dokken really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kendrick. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kendrick seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dokken does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Kendrick has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kendrick connects with a nice short shot to Dokken's temple.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dokken is looking for a sweep.
Kendrick creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kendrick wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dokken, who protects the arm well.

Kendrick wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Dokken has him pressed against the cage.
Dokken blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Kendrick is trying to push Dokken away but Dokken has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Dokken jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kendrick walks away with a smile on his face. Dokken gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Kendrick rushes Dokken and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Kendrick breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kendrick fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Dokken stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyson Kendrick. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Tyson Kendrick overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Dokken is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Dokken is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
