And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Saul Tigh!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Wagner Zegers and Paul Aken.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maximilian scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Tigh doesn't seem bothered though.
A slapping leg kick lands for Maximilian.
Maximilian cracks the inside of Tigh's front leg.
Maximilian looks to land a combination but Tigh avoids it well.
Maximilian throws a head kick that Tigh semi-blocks.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tigh closes the distance and clinches up with Maximilian, looking for a takedown. Tigh pushes Maximilian against the cage but Maximilian circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Maximilian's jab looks to have found its range, popping Tigh under the eye.
Maximilian tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Maximilian lands a head kick. Tigh smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

It looks like Saul Tigh has been cut.

Tigh takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Some bone on bone action there as Tigh checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Tigh takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Tigh shoots in looking for a takedown but Maximilian manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Tigh's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Tigh tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Tigh shoots in for a double leg but Maximilian sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Alessandro Maximilian has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Saul Tigh.

Maximilian feints a jab promting Tigh to slip. Maximilian then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Tigh slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Maximilian throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Maximilian throws a sloppy head kick and Tigh moves out of range easily.

Maximilian sizes up Tigh with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Tigh crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Maximilian - the referee stops the clock and Tigh gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Maximilian. Tigh manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Maximilian lands a nice shot to the body.
Maximilian fakes the leg kick and cracks Tigh in the body.
Maximilian connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Maximilian rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tigh moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Tigh takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Maximilian throws a good cross that connects.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Maximilian moves into the clinch successfully.

Maximilian lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Tigh is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Maximilian pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Maximilian cracks Tigh with a nice body shot.
Maximilian has Tigh pressed against the cage.
Tigh's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
With the fighters up against the cage, Maximilian throws an elbow but misses.

Maximilian gets through Tigh's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Maximilian lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Come on Maximilian - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Tigh is working for takedown but Maximilian is calmly controlling the position for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Maximilian throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Tigh on the side of the head.

Oooooh!!! Maximilian has knocked Tigh down with a huge combo! Maximilian steps away and waves a wobbly Tigh back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
