Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tai Singh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rousimar Palhares Skywalker!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Singh throws a right and a left that both miss.
Singh closes the distance but Skywalker moves to the side
and Skywalker counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Singh fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Skywalker cracks Singh with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Skywalker dives in and grabs Singh's left leg, looking for a takedown. Singh pushes down on Skywalker's head and hops out.

Skywalker has managed to clinch.
Singh can't break the clinch.
A body shot lands from Skywalker.
Singh is trying to force a seperation but Skywalker has the dominant position.
Singh misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Skywalker.
Skywalker makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Singh misses with a short punch on the inside.

Singh wants to break the clinch but can't.
Skywalker stalling the fight.
Singh is trying to break the clinch but Skywalker has him pressed against the cage.
Skywalker is struggling to control the position.
Singh is looking to break free of the clinch but Skywalker has double underhooks.
Skywalker is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Skywalker has hold of one of Singh's legs. Singh is fighting the takedown attempt but Skywalker gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Skywalker has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Singh is proving hard to escape from.

Skywalker throws a strike but Singh rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Singh throws an elbow that misses. Skywalker uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Singh's guard. Nice move by Skywalker!

Skywalker tries to free his leg and advance position but Singh is retaining full guard.

Singh throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Skywalker escapes and throws Singh's legs to the side, diving into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Singh gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Singh has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Skywalker is working away from the top position though.
Singh keeping hold of Skywalker's head, controlling as best he can.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Singh is looking for a takedown.
Skywalker stalls.
Skywalker avoiding damage as Singh throws knees to the body.

Singh tries for a takedown but Skywalker sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Skywalker shoots in and drives through. Singh sprawls well.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Singh ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Skywalker moves away.

Skywalker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Singh circles away quickly and effectively.

It looks like Rousimar Palhares Skywalker has been cut.
Skywalker shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Singh as he avoids it easily.
Singh lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Tai Singh is winning the standup battle so far.
Singh tries to close the distance and clinch up but Skywalker swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Skywalker holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Singh wants to break free but Skywalker has control.
Skywalker's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
A frustrated look appears on Singh's face as he tries to break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tai Singh will probably get the nod.

Singh shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Skywalker defends it nicely.

Skywalker lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Singh changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Skywalker tries to avoid it but Singh manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Skywalker to the ground. Skywalker escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tai Singh. That's going to take a lot out of him.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Skywalker lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Singh backwards.

I would just about give that final round to Rousimar Palhares Skywalker.
I think Skywalker has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
