Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rick Sharpie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juha Kuivanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kuivanen fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sharpie sprawls well initially but Kuivanen persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kuivanen thows a huge punch but Sharpie dodges it nicely.
Sharpie keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Kuivanen is trying to control the action in half guard but Sharpie is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Sharpie is bucking up trying to escape but Kuivanen cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Kuivanen has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Sharpie's face.

You get the feeling that Sharpie really doesn't like being in this position too much.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kuivanen cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Sharpie is rocked!
Kuivanen loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Sharpie scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Kuivanen land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Kuivanen stands and salutes the crowd.
