PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frenzy Barracuda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gianpiero Tassotti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tassotti has chosen Alphazone - Stay as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Gianpiero Tassotti will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tassotti misses with a looping left.
Barracuda shoots in and drives through. Tassotti sprawls well.

Barracuda fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Tassotti to the ground. Barracuda is now in Tassotti's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Gianpiero Tassotti has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Barracuda shoots for a double leg takedown but Tassotti sprawls well. He's pushed Barracuda's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Barracuda feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Barracuda looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Barracuda changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tassotti tries to avoid it but Barracuda manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tassotti to the ground. Tassotti escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Barracuda walks straight into a right hand from Tassotti - that's dropped him! Tassotti jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Barracuda from any more punishment! Barracuda complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
