Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Diesel Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackson Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Power comes to the cage accompanied by Solonen ja Kosola - RÄPPII . Thomas has chosen Patroit's Anthem as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Colin Fray.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas tries to close the distance and clinch up but Power swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Thomas moves in looking to clinch but Power pushes him off.
Thomas throws a leg kick but Power sees it coming and moves out of range.
Thomas tries to clinch up but Power circles away and keeps his distance.
Power takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Power tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Thomas swivels and escapes.
Power fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Thomas manages to avoid it.
Power avoids the head kick by Thomas.
Power shoots for a double leg takedown but Thomas sprawls well. He's pushed Power's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Thomas moves out of range of the strikes.
Power throws a shot from downtown. Thomas moves away and avoids it.
Power shoots in looking for a takedown. Thomas tries to sprawl out of it but Power keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Thomas manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Diesel Power. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Power throws a jab but it's blocked by Thomas.
Power fails with the takedown.
Thomas moves out of range as Power strikes.
Thomas dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Power. That did some damage!
Power checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Thomas fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Power has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Power misses with a wild body shot.
Power misses with an uppercut. Thomas saw that one coming.
Sloppy strikes from Power. Those never looked like landing.
Jackson Thomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Power works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Thomas feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Power's calf.
Thomas throws a solid leg kick but Power takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Thomas.
Power looks to score with a jab to the body but Thomas is just out of range.
Nice takedown defense from Thomas. No joy for Power on that attempt.
Thomas wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Power is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Thomas's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Power looks for a takedown but Thomas sprawls well.
Power is breathing heavily.
Power works the jab nicely.
Thomas throws a low kick but it's checked well by Power.
Power keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Thomas throws a leg kick but Power moved away.

Power shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Thomas manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Thomas looking to hit a scissor sweep but Power is one step ahead there.

Power wants to pass the guard but Thomas is keeping the position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Thomas is on top in guard.
Power is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Thomas wants to stand but Power has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Power keeping moving, preventing Thomas from controlling successfully.
Thomas pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Power is keeping the position for now.
Power wants to sweep but no luck.
Thomas would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Thomas wanted to stand there but Power had control of the position.

Power is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Thomas defends well.
Power is trying to control the position but Thomas postures up.
Thomas must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Thomas got a little sloppy there for a moment and Power has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Thomas has managed to get both his arms back between Power's legs - danger averted.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Power is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Thomas rolls with it to try and escape but Power cranks on the arm and Thomas is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
