Metcalf has chosen "Highway to the Danger Zone," by Kenny Loggins as his entrance music. Melvin Saddleman has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Melvin Saddleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mike Metcalf!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Thiago Cunha and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saddleman swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Metcalf throws a push kick but Saddleman slaps the foot to one side.
Saddleman avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Saddleman throws a series of punches but Metcalf moves out of range.
Metcalf dodges the punch combination from Saddleman.
Saddleman misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Saddleman catches Metcalf with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Saddleman avoids the body shot from Metcalf.
Metcalf moves out of range as Saddleman strikes.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Metcalf throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Metcalf misses with an attempted mid kick.
A lazy left from Metcalf finds it's target.
Some wild striking there from Metcalf.
Metcalf throws a series of punches but Saddleman moves out of range.
Metcalf drops Saddleman with a nice combination! Metcalf dives into Saddleman's guard, looking to finish!


Saddleman is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Saddleman looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Oh Saddleman is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Saddleman is on top in guard.
Saddleman seems to have got his legs back now.

Saddleman is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Metcalf is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Metcalf has escaped and now he's on top!

Saddleman looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Metcalf passes into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Saddleman is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Saddleman regains half guard.

Saddleman is trying to maintain the position but Metcalf is very close to passing his half guard.
Saddleman wants to improve his position but Metcalf is controlling well.

Saddleman is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Metcalf pulls his head out easily.
Saddleman is breathing heavily.
Metcalf is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Metcalf sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Saddleman defending well though.
Saddleman wants to control but Metcalf is keeping busy.
Metcalf wants to get back to his feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Metcalf prevents Saddleman from improving his position.
Metcalf lands with a punch from half guard.
Saddleman tries to roll over but Metcalf keeps him under control.
Saddleman is looking to control Metcalf's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Saddleman avoid being mounted?
Metcalf seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Metcalf sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Saddleman defending well though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Metcalf dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Saddleman throws a left and a right that both miss
and Metcalf makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Saddleman takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Saddleman takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Metcalf throws a head kick but Saddleman moves out of range.
Metcalf tries a head kick but it misses.
Saddleman throws a hook to the side of Metcalf's head but Metcalf sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Saddleman throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Metcalf.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Saddleman has a takedown stuffed.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Metcalf is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
A chopping leg kick lands by Metcalf.
Metcalf changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Melvin Saddleman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Both fighters circling a little - Metcalf finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Metcalf seems to be stalking Saddleman here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Saddleman drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
