The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCown blocks a head kick by Mathers Iii.
McCown is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
McCown swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mathers Iii tries to bum rush McCown with a series of wild strikes but McCown uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

McCown prevents a takedown attempt there.

McCown gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Mathers Iii jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as McCown walks away with a smile on his face. Mathers Iii gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Mathers Iii takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Mathers Iii looks winded!
McCown fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
McCown lands with a straight right. Mathers Iii didn't see that one coming.
Mathers Iii gets cracked with a nice right hand there by McCown.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McCown cracks a nice hook into Mathers Iii's ribs.
McCown scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Mathers Iii doesn't seem bothered though.

Mathers Iii is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
McCown clobbers Mathers Iii with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
McCown cracks Mathers Iii with a right hand to the side of the head.
Mathers Iii tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McCown paws at him with a jab and circles away.

McCown lands a two punch combo.
Mathers Iii is rocked!
McCown lands a leg kick that knocks Mathers Iii off balance momentarily.

Mathers Iii doesn't succeed with the takedown
and McCown counters with a big slam followed by a series of strikes - this one is all over!
