Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Atkins and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belt throws a right and a left that Powell avoids nicely.
Belt drives through with a takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Powell is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Powell looks to land a combination but Belt avoids it well.
Belt shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Powell sprawls well. Powell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Belt gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Red Belt. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Powell keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Powell postures up and lands a big shot to Belt's brow.

Belt is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Red Belt overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Powell with a flurry of punches that miss.
Powell with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Powell postures up in Belt's guard and throws a big left but Belt blocks it.
Powell got a little sloppy there for a moment and Belt has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Powell has managed to get both his arms back between Belt's legs - danger averted.
Powell content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Powell is pushing down on Belt's leg trying to pass to half guard. Belt is fighting to maintain full guard but Powell has managed to sneak the leg through.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Powell slips a nice elbow through Belt's hands, connecting with Belt's forehead.
Powell scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Belt is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Powell has his hands clasped together but Belt extends an breaks Powell's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Belt.
