Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sean Wes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ashley Hendricks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hendricks is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Nightrain. Sean Wes has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 1, fighting out of London, Ashley Hendricks!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Colin Fotheringham and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wes is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hendricks.

Wes gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Hendricks is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Wes wants to get back to his feet but Hendricks is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Hendricks throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wes works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Ashley Hendricks has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Hendricks closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hendricks lands in his opponent's guard.
Wes is looking to stand back up but Hendricks counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Wes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Hendricks throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Hendricks seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Wes is looking to escape.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Wes enables Hendricks to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Wes manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Well Hendricks has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
