The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomez wants to clinch up but Indechops keeps it at a distance.
Indechops is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Gomez enables Indechops to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Gomez manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Gomez has momentary wrist control but Indechops slips an elbow through the middle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Indechops keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Gomez's head.

Gomez had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Indechops defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Indechops postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Gomez covers up, he's hurt! Indechops keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Indechops and the ref steps in to end the fight! Indechops can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

After the fight, Buster Indechops was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
