PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nephew Tony (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Cena (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mark Cena!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Russell Pearce and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cena tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tony sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cena somewhat.
Cena shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Tony defends it nicely.
Tony avoids the head kick by Cena.
Horrible takedown by Cena or perhaps it was just good defense by Tony which made him look bad.
Nephew Tony has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Cena.
Cena throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Tony's head.
Cena shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tony pinned against the cage. Tony gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Tony keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Mark Cena seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cena gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Tony is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Tony gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Cena.
Cena blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Cena jumps guard and drags Tony to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Tony might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Tony controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Tony wants to control from the top but Cena keeps moving.

Cena is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Cena looks winded!
Cena can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Tony controls the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Nephew Tony just wasn't active enough.
Cena shoots in and drives through. Tony sprawls well.

Cena shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tony as he jumps to the side.
Cena throws a right hand that misses
and Tony counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Mark Cena has been cut.
Cena is looking to clinch but Tony is avoiding it.
Cena closes the distance and clinches up with Tony, looking for a takedown. Cena pushes Tony against the cage but Tony circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Tony dodges the punch combination from Cena.
Cena fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cena gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Tony counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks Cena badly! He tries to strike back but Tony puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Cena out cold! Oh man, Cena will never hear the end of this one!
