And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Johnny Wilson!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Ivan Kurochkin and Fedor Mirinova.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wilson has managed to clinch.
Ambrose is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Wilson pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Wilson working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Wilson is pressed up against the cage. Ambrose has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Wilson down to the mat. Wilson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Ambrose moves into range and clinches up with Wilson.
Wilson is defending well against a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dean Ambrose. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ambrose tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Wilson just stands there and leans against the cage.
Wilson tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Ambrose's elbow.
Wilson tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Wilson putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Ambrose in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Ambrose is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

It looks like Dean Ambrose has been cut.
Wilson unloads a knee to the mid-section. Ambrose lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Wilson lands a good knee to the midsection. Ambrose won't want to take too many of those.
Still in the clinch, Wilson scores with a nice short uppercut.

Wilson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ambrose fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Wilson throws a leg kick which misses Ambrose's front leg but catches the back leg as Ambrose tries to avoid it.

Ambrose is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Wilson cracks Ambrose with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Ambrose is rocked!
Wilson throws a front kick that sends Ambrose stumbling back into the cage.
Oh Ambrose is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Wilson fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
