Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Miquel Costas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yass McDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDonald takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Costas listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Costas shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. McDonald eats them both and turns towards Costas to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Costas throws a right hand that McDonald ducks under and follows up with a left that McDonald also avoids with ease.

Costas tries to clinch but McDonald is having none of it.
McDonald shoots for a double leg takedown but Costas sprawls well. He's pushed McDonald's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Costas throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and McDonald works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Costas seems to be working for a kimura but McDonald defends the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Miquel Costas will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

McDonald avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
