Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tykwon Dont (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Franklin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Franklin forces Dont back against the cage and clinches.

Franklin ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Franklin no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Franklin is looking to stand up but Dont isn't so interested in that idea.
Dont wants to pass the guard but Franklin is keeping the position.
Franklin is controlling Dont's posture.
Let's hope that Franklin has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Bob Franklin hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Franklin fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dont, pushing him back against the cage.

Franklin decides to pull guard.
Franklin is controlling Dont's posture.

Franklin wriggles free and stands up.
Dont shoots and misses

and Franklin moves into the clinch.
Dont drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Franklin gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Dont breaks the clinch.
Franklin keeps the fight on the outside.
Franklin circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dont tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Franklin paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Dont has his takedown stuffed

and Franklin counters with a shoot takedown. Dont fights it but they end up in guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tykwon Dont. That's going to take a lot out of him.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Franklin distracts Dont with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Franklin cracks Dont with a solid left hand.

Franklin decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Dont has a takedown stuffed.

Franklin closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Dont quickly recovers to half guard.

Franklin decides to stand and escape the position.
Dont fails with a takedown attempt.

Franklin shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Franklin is controlling the pace.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Dont pushes Franklin off looking to stand but Franklin dives back in and keeps control.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Franklin scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Dont connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Franklin clinches with his opponent.

Franklin drags the fight down to the ground.
Franklin lands a decent punch to the body there.
Dont won't allow Franklin to sweep him here.
Franklin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Dont is looking for a sweep. Franklin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Franklin maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Dont could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Franklin has cracked it and Dont is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Franklin!
