Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lucentus Darklance!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

18 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tommi Neponen!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Tarja Halkonen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neponen loads up on a big right hand but Darklance slips the punch.
Neponen throws a body punch but Darklance moves out of range.
Neponen lands a nice leg kick that just misses Darklance's sensitive parts.
Lucentus Darklance seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Darklance is looking to clinch but Neponen is avoiding it.
Darklance dives in and grabs Neponen's left leg, looking for a takedown. Neponen pushes down on Darklance's head and hops out.
Neponen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Darklance closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Darklance takes one to the chin there.
Darklance tries to clinch there but Neponen circles away.
Neponen gets caught napping as Darklance dives in and scores a takedown. Neponen manages to retain guard.

Neponen has control of Darklance's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Darklance regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Neponen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Darklance is just riding it out for now. Neponen eventually gives up the hold.

Neponen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Neponen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

That was a close second round but I would say that Lucentus Darklance will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Darklance.
Darklance shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Neponen as he jumps to the side.
Neponen swings for the body but Darklance moves out of range.

and Neponen counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Neponen misses with an uppercut
and Darklance counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Neponen is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Darklance is looking to clinch but Neponen is avoiding it.
Neponen lands a nice hook to Darklance's body. Darklance takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

and Neponen counters with a head kick. That will keep Darklance thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

and Neponen counters with a big head kick but Darklance shrugs it off.
Neponen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Darklance swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Neponen pushes Darklance away with a front kick.
Neponen lands a lovely overhand right.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Darklance is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Neponen can't fight it off and eventually Darklance manages to take the fight to the floor. Neponen looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Neponen leaves Darklance with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Darklance moves out of range as Neponen strikes.
Neponen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Darklance manages to avoid it.
Neponen slaps away a takedown attempt from Darklance, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Darklance takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Darklance tries a low kick but Neponen avoids it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Darklance swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Neponen cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Darklance is rocked!
Neponen ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Oh Darklance is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Neponen drops Darklance with a straight right hand, right on the button! Neponen follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tommi Neponen!
A very excited looking Tommi Neponen rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
