PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pavel Vasilyev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Moore kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Marilyn Manson - Sweet Dreams. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Moore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pavel Vasilyev!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasilyev throws an overhand right that lands on Moore's shoulder, as Moore tries to avoid the shot.
Vasilyev throws a body punch but Moore moves out of range.
Vasilyev cracks Moore with an uppercut from hell and Moore crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Vasilyev's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

It looks like John Moore has been cut.
Vasilyev really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Moore. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Moore trying to keep a closed guard but Vasilyev is proving a slippery customer.

Vasilyev gets to his feet. Moore looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Nice sprawl there from Vasilyev as Moore shoots in.
Good exchange - Moore coming out on top.
Vasilyev looks to land a left hand but Moore moved out of range nicely.
Moore connects with a body shot.
Vasilyev jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Moore swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Vasilyev is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Moore.
A head kick by Vasilyev - that's a beauty! Moore is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Vasilyev can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
