The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reihnardt just misses with a punch to the body.

Reihnardt clinches up with Polo and pushes him back against the cage.
Reihnardt is trying to pull guard but Polo has him pressed against the cage.

Reihnardt breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Polo slaps away a takedown attempt from Reihnardt, before circling back to the center of the mat.
A punch combination from Polo misses.
Reihnardt takes one on the chin but seems OK.

It looks like Brian Reihnardt has been cut.
Polo misses with a straight right.
Polo shoots for a takedown but Reihnardt saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Polo slaps away a takedown attempt from Reihnardt, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Marco Polo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Reihnardt.
Reihnardt shoots in looking for a takedown but Polo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Reihnardt's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Reihnardt wants to clinch.

Polo drops his shoulder and cracks Reihnardt with a huge uppercut! Reihnardt goes down! Can Polo finish him?

Reihnardt is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Reihnardt is trying to control the position but Polo postures up.

Polo stops Reihnardt from standing up.
Reihnardt seems to have recovered his senses.

Reihnardt uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Polo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Horrible takedown by Reihnardt or perhaps it was just good defense by Polo which made him look bad.
Polo walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Reihnardt drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Polo swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Reihnardt's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
