The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez thows a body shot but no joy.
Sloppy strikes from McQueen. Those never looked like landing.
Martinez scores with a sloppy right hand. McQueen should have avoided that one.
Martinez jabs at McQueen's body.
Martinez lands a nice shot to the body.
McQueen tries to close the distance and clinch but Martinez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

McQueen rushes Martinez and presses him up against the cage.
McQueen wants a takedown.
McQueen misses with a punch to the body.

McQueen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Martinez throws a poor cross that misses
and McQueen counters with a nice low kick that buckles Martinez's knee momentarily.
McQueen is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Martinez.

McQueen moves into the clinch successfully.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Martinez takes a knee right on the jaw!

McQueen is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Martinez wants to break free but McQueen has control.

McQueen pulls guard.
Martinez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
McQueen has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
McQueen is trying to control the position from the bottom.

McQueen pushes Martinez off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
McQueen is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
McQueen misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Martinez just misses with a punch to the body.
McQueen on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Martinez connects with the punch.
A punch lands to the side of McQueen 's head but he takes it in his stride.
McQueen throws a right and a left that Martinez avoids nicely.
McQueen lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Martinez misses the shot to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McQueen fails with an attempt to clinch.
McQueen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Martinez as he jumps to the side.
McQueen connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Martinez tumbling to the canvas! McQueen pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Martinez was done - good stoppage!
