These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
North tries to clinch but Positions - Keep Happening - moves away

and Positions - Keep Happening - counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for North!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Positions - Keep Happening - scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at North to see if he's OK.
Positions - Keep Happening - connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused North some visible discomfort.

It looks like Nate North has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
North taking punishment in the form of punches.
North managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Positions - Keep Happening -.
Positions - Keep Happening - creates some space and throws a big elbow, but North sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
North takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Positions - Keep Happening - working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Positions - Keep Happening - is chipping away with strikes.
North on the wrong end of some ground and pound.

That has opened up Nate North's cut even more.
Positions - Keep Happening - misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Positions - Keep Happening - throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Positions - Keep Happening - tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Positions - Keep Happening - throws an elbow but North slips to the side and avoids it well.
North takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

The cut above Nate North's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Nate North's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
