The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mood shoots for a double leg takedown but Green sprawls well. He's pushed Mood's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Nice sprawl there from Mood as Green shoots in.
Mood fails with a takedown attempt.
Green shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Green showed some decent athleticism there.
Mood wants to control but Green is keeping busy.

Green is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Mood to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Mood shrugs it off.
Green wants to finish this one by submission but Mood is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Green.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mood tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mood is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Green cracks Mood with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Mood is squirming around, avoiding Green's attempts to control the action.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Mood is looking to improve his position but Green isn't that keen on the idea.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Bobby Green seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Green shoots in looking for a takedown. Mood tries to sprawl out of it but Green keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mood manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bobby Green. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Green throws a solid leg kick but Mood takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Green.
A punch lands to the side of Mood 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Green shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mood as he jumps to the side.

Donk. Green catches Mood right on the button with a cross.
Mood throws a head kick but Green moves out of range.
Green turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Green is defended easily by Mood.
Green misses with an uppercut
and Mood counters with a one-two to the body.
Green scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Mood shoots in but no luck this time.
Mood scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Green doesn't seem bothered though.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mood.

Green defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mood.
Mood gets caught flat footed, as Green shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Mood has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Green is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Mood.
Green grinds an elbow into Mood's temple.
Mood managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Green.
Green creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Mood sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Mood really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Green. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Mood is trying to control Green's posture but Green avoids it.
Green has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Mood is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Green yanks on the arm and Mood is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Green.
