Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nelly Haynes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shang Tsung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nelly Haynes had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nelly Haynes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shang Tsung!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Haynes closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Haynes is pressing down on Tsung's thigh, looking to free his foot. Tsung is holding on for now.

Haynes is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Haynes throwing shots but Tsung is blocking nicely.
Haynes tries to pass to full mount but Tsung defends it.
Haynes thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Tsung's head.
Haynes is thwarting Tsung's attempts to control the position.
Haynes looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Tsung with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Haynes scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Tsung to see if he's OK.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Tsung fails with an attempt to clinch.
Haynes shoots in looking for a takedown. Tsung tries to sprawl out of it but Haynes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tsung manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Haynes swats away the attempt to clinch by Tsung.
Haynes sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Tsung tries to close the distance and clinch but Haynes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Haynes shoots for a double leg takedown but Tsung sprawls well. He's pushed Haynes's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Tsung misses with a double jab.

Tsung takes the fight into the clinch.

Haynes stops Tsung from standing up.
Tsung utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Haynes passes into half guard.
Tsung won't allow Haynes to pass to mount.

Haynes seems to be working for a kimura but Tsung defends the submission attempt.

Haynes is looking for a kimura but Tsung is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Haynes to get the leverage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Shang Tsung hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

That was a close second round but I would say that Nelly Haynes will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Shang Tsung is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Tsung shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Haynes's guard.

Haynes working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tsung doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Haynes is tightening it up a little... Tsung has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Tsung reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Tsung taps out! Nice BJJ there by Haynes!
